Matthew W. Beardall

Matt Beardall is a Senior Client Manager in Bank of America’s Global Commercial Banking Group. Matt is responsible for managing a portfolio of middle market public and private companies with annual sales ranging from $50 million to $2 billion. Matt’s clients are predominately located along the East coast of the United States, from New York to Florida. Matt possesses a strong background in business development, client management, credit analysis, sales, and banking fundamentals.

Matt has been with Bank of America and its predecessor organizations for over 12 years. In addition to over 8 years in Global Commercial Banking, he also spent time in Consumer Banking and Treasury Management.

Matt received a B.S. degree in Business from Wake Forest University, Calloway School of Business, with a concentration in Finance and Marketing. He also received an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School. He graduated with distinction and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honors Society.

Matt is active in various civic and community affairs. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Enterprise Development Group, a microfinance lender, Treasurer of a Not-for-Profit Endowment Fund, his Church Council and Junior Achievement, Great Washington.

Matt is a native of the Washington DC area and currently resides in Rockville, MD with his wife and three young children.

   
   
   

Julie Dyrdek Broad

Julie Broad brings over 16 years of marketing and telecommunications experience, holding senior management positions within Nortel, AT&T Solutions, Ernst & Young, the U.S. Government (Treasury and EPA). Mrs. Broad has a Global OneMBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Communications Systems Management from The Ohio University, Athens, Ohio with a minor in Computer Science.

Broad’s career has provided her with a rich background in multi-media marketing and technology. She is also passionate about Organizational Behavior issues in the workplace, and is currently preparing application for PhD work in this field. Her focus will be on global leadership and collaboration.

Julie lives in Chapel Hill with her husband Matt and two sons.

   
   
   

Tamba Momoh
Financial Planning Manager
CELTEL (Sierra Leone) LIMITED

Tamba Momoh is the Financial Planning Manager for CELTEL (SL) Ltd. He is responsible for Planning (i.e. budgeting/forecasting), and reporting. Celtel is a subsidiary of ZAIN, a mobile phone operator, currently in 16 African, and 6 Middle Eastern countries.

Prior to Celtel, Tamba spent many years working in the United Kingdom (UK) as an Accountant. Starting his career at a firm of Chartered Accountants, he later worked for a few organisations including, Incremental Systems, the Home Office ( UK Immigrations department), and Wesminster University. Apart from these and other paid jobs, he has been a Volunteer Internal Auditor with Oxfam GB for the past 10 years. Tamba is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a UK professional accountancy body. He is also at the end of his studies at the University of Westminster in London, where he has been reading Development Management, at masters level.

Tamba is a keen charity volunteer. He has raised thousands of pounds (GBP) in the past for charities in the UK, through various 10k runs, including the Great Capital Run in London. He is also a Resource Person (RP) with the charity, the African Foundation for Development (AFFORD) in the UK. As a RP, he offers free general business management advice, to SMEs in West Africa.

Tamba with his wife and two children, are currently living in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where they hope to contribute to the development of that nation.

   
   
   

Marc Ross
Vice President

Marc Ross has an extensive background in business development as well as leading advocacy operations and government affairs programs for nonprofits, corporations and political campaigns. He has been actively involved in a number of diverse public policy initiatives including: global climate change, national energy policy, natural resource management, technology antitrust issues and international trade. In addition, he has worked on political campaigns for the highest offices in the United States and United Kingdom. Marc holds an MBA with an emphasis on global business through the University of North Carolina’s OneMBA program at the Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Bowling Green State University.

Marc currently resides in Laguna Beach, California with his wife Karin.

   
   
   

Aminata June Adam-Samura
Senior Financial Analyst

Aminata Adam-Samura is a Senior Financial Analyst with GlaxoSmithKline PLC, one of the world largest pharmaceutical companies. As a financial analyst, she is responsible for financial planning and consolidation. Prior to joining GlaxoSmithKline, Aminata served as auditor for various companies in England, United Kingdom.

Aminata is active in various community affairs and her church. Her philanthropic vision and goal is to help underdeveloped nations improve their socio-economic conditions. To promote her passion of helping the needy create a more sustainable environment through education and healthcare, she founded Boundless Hope Inc.

Aminata was born in Sierra Leone and has lived in several countries. She earned a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina’s, Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in business accounting from the University of Lincoln in England, graduating with honors. Aminata is a chartered certified accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom.

Aminata currently lives in North Carolina with a daughter and her husband.

   
   
   

Saidu Adam-Samura
AssistantState Auditor
North Carolina Office of the State Auditor

Saidu Adam-Samura serves in the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor as an Assistant State Auditor. As an Assistant State Auditor, Saidu participates in the audits of state agencies that expend billions of dollars in both state and federal funds. Saidu is also an individual Certified Public Accountant practitioner. Prior to these positions, Saidu served in the Republic of Sierra Leone Forces for approximately 15 years and retired as a major.

Saidu earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting, graduating summa cum laude, and a master’s degree in accounting from North CarolinaStateUniversity. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at East Carolina University.

Saidu holds several professional certifications. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Forensic Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Internal Auditor.

Saidu strongly believes that everybody, no matter his or her status in society, should have a decent existence. He is originally from Sierra Leone but now lives in North Carolina with his wife and daughter.

   

David Tran
Architect for the World Wide Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
Hewlett-Packard Company

David Tran is currently a solution architect for the World Wide Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) group at the Hewlett-Packard Company. He is responsible for developing solutions, costing, and architecting IT infrastructure that enables and supports world wide Finance and Administration BPO deals that are over $600 million in revenue. His clients include internal Hewlett-Packard sales and pursuit teams, global IT operations groups, global solution development teams, as well as several external Fortune 500 companies.

David’s early career includes software research and development, technical support, recruiting, sales, marketing, and consulting experience with several large corporations in the Research Triangle Park area in North Carolina such as AT&T, CelluarOne, IBM, and Nortel. David also taught Computer Science courses for over two years for the Shaw University Apprenticeship Program, a special project sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote and expose minority students to the fields of mathematics and science.

David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University in 1999. In 2004, he earned his Master of Science degree in Computer Networking and Electronic Commerce from North Carolina State University. In June of 2008, he received an executive global MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. David earned both of his Masters degrees while working full-time at Hewlett-Packard.

Since David arrived to the United States as an immigrant from Vietnam in 1992, he has been active in charity work, community service, and giving projects such as Feed The Hungry, North Carolina Food Bank’s Food Drive, Phi Sigma Pi’s community service initiatives, and his family’s annual monetary donation to various benevolent organizations in Vietnam. David has been a volunteer interpreter for the local Vietnamese communities for over 10 years. He has also held several leadership positions such as Publicity Chairman and President of the Association of Computer Machinery at North Carolina State University where his focus was to give back to the organization members and its community.

David currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his partner and their two dogs.
